Yep, I've figured out how to get the color saturation and contrast where I want it - and I FINALLY figured out that any decent shot would have to be at 300mm from my particular vantage point. But I'm still struggling with getting the birds properly focused; they move so fast, that about half the time they're half-way out of the image when the shutter fires, half the time they've jinked forward or backward just as it trips and the final half of the time, they're just a bit too zigged from camera shake. Guess that last half is what I get using a 70-300mm withOUT vibration reduction.
